Behind the Weather Channels immense success is its syndication partners. The Weather Channel is syndicated across over 250 satellite, cable and radio networks worldwide. It’s online and mobile content is viewed by over 36 MM unique viewers monthly. Not to mention their mobile app on Google and iPhone has been downloaded a combined 1.3 MM times and delivers in excess of 100 MM weather alerts annually.

Anne House, VP of Partnership Marketing had a big task ahead of her. She needed a new a new Weather Channel Affiliate website to help engage their syndication partners with the information they would need to better promote the Weather Channel’s programming. Moreover, she needed either to update or migrate to a new content management system, thus making it easier for her marketing team to update and manage their content. As a result our technology team and I dug into the underlying CMS and determined that there were several issues with the offshored, home grown code base. As a result, we recommended an open source, highly stable content management system to enable and grow the Weather Channel affiliate site at a very low overall cost of ownership. Our project management and creative team did a most outstanding job of making the site not only user friendly, but also user intuitive. The end result is not only a happy consulting client, but also a long-term relationship.
